Week 5

 

 

This week definitely picked up for us!  We went to the park one day when the weather was nice.  This was Hudson's first trip to the park :)

 

 

I had a root canal a few weeks ago and I had to go have the tempory crown put on.  I took Madison with me and she snapped a pic of me :)  I didn't even know until the next day when I was looking for a picture on my phone to show a co-worker! LOL  I think she was a little taken back about the process, as I was myself!  I had no idea that they were going to shave my tooth down!  I told her that she needed to brush good to avoid having this done!  

 

 

 

We had a new addition to the family.  This is Hadley Grace Johns, daughter of Rance and Lindsay Johns.  She is such a cutie :)  Madison and Hudson have a new cousin!  I can't wait until Hudson and Hadley are old enough to play and aggravate Madison :)

And to end this week, Madison's pageant!  She didn't win, but WOW she did so good!  She walked out on that stage like she owned it!  She never took her eyes off the judges....I don't see how they didn't pick her, but I guess I am a little biased :)  This was her first pageant and I hope not her last!  I have signed her up for another one next weekend and I hope that she does it! (she was a little upset that she didn't win) 

I will post pics of her all dressed up later!  But here is one with her flowers that Adam gave her for good luck :)

 

Week 4

 

     Adam came home Tuesday from the hospital.  I was suppose to go back to work on Tuesday, but got delayed a couple of days.   I stayed home Wednesday with Adam while he recovered from having the spinal tap done in the hospital.  Hudson started daycare this week :(  He did fine, but it was a little hard for momma!  I went back to work on Thursday, it was a nice change I must say!  We didn't do much this week due to sickness and exhaustion.  We do, however, have some exciting things coming in the next few weeks.  Madison's first pageant in two weeks and she will be starting softball soon too!

 

 

 

This week school was delayed one morning 3 hours for tornado watch!  Gotta love Alabama weather :)  Chandler came over and wanted to push Hudson around in Madison's baby stroller.....why not?  It didn't last very long, but it was super cute!

 

Week 3

 

     This week was a fun and hard week for us!  This was my last week of maternity leave, I was a little sad, but also ready to get back into the swing of things!  While I was trying to enjoy every second of this last week at home with Hudson, this was also the week that Madison and I would get to see Justin Bieber in concert! :)  Wednesday night myself, Madison, Randi, Chandler, Lori and Zoe went to Birmingham to see Justin!  The girls were a little uncontrollable with excitement.  We all enjoyed the show, Madison a little too much, she passed out about 30 minutes before the show was over :) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

     It also snowed this week!  Madison of course went out for just a little bit in it, but Hudson stayed inside :)  They delayed school 3 hours one day because of it.  We didn't get very much and it didn't stay on the ground long, but it was very pretty and we enjoyed it while it lasted!

 

 

 

 

 

Adam had still been under the weather this week and by Friday we ended up back at the hospital!  They admitted him and he was there for 5 days!  They did all kind of test to try and determine the cause of his high blood pressure and headaches.  Thankfully they did not find anything medically wrong with Adam and they ended up changing his medication and now he is feeling much better!

 

 

While Adam was at the hospital, we stayed with my mom so she could help me with the kids.  Madison and Hudson had their first bath together :)

 

 

 



Week 2

This week has been a LONG week to say the least!  We were super busy going to the doctor with Adam, he has been sick/not feeling well for a while now.  He was having some blood pressure problems and it seems like one thing has hit right after another.  It started with his blood pressure being high, his ear drum busted, he is having migraines and has been nauseous from all of the medication he is on.  He has been to the doctor several times a week for the last few weeks for testing: MRI, ultrasound of kidneys, adrenal gland testing, and weekly check ups on his blood pressure!  Not to mention the times he has been to the ER, he had the stomach virus and got very dehydrated.  On top of all of that, I had to have a root canal and Madison also got the stomach virus :(  Thank goodness that Hudson and I did not get the bug!!!

Although we have had it a little rough, I keep telling myself that this to shall pass :)  And that our problems are very minor to what they could be, so for that I am blessed!

My sweet Hudson is growing very fast!  He finally is sleeping at night and staying up much more during the day.  He is 5 weeks old this week.  Next week will be my last week at home with him :(  I am very sad that it will be my last week at home with him, however I am ready to get back to work and get on a schedule!  

Madison got her 2nd nine weeks report card and of course did awesome!  She is such a smart girl and enjoys school very much!  She started reading AR books this week at school.  She read 3 books and passed each of their tests :)  She already has 1.5 AR points, her goal for the 3rd nine weeks is 6 points.....I don't think she will have any problem meeting that goal :)  The picture at the top of this blog post was sent home from school this week....I know it's pretty sad that she is almost 6 and doesn't know how to ride her bike yet!  So we are going to make that a priority this year!  She will have no problem with a little practice :)

Week 1

Week 1 of 2013

To start off our new year, we took Hudson to his one month check up!  It went great, he had gained 2 lbs since his last visit to the doctor 2 weeks prior :)  He had also grown 1/2 inch longer!  Time is already flying by and I can see so many changes in him already!  Madison came home from her dads on the 1st and since we didn't get to do fireworks with her on New Years Eve, we decided to do a few (in the garage due to the rain)  Adam had promised her before she left on Christmas Day that we would do fireworks when she got back home, and boy she didn't forget that!  She, of course, had a blast :)  She starts back to school this week, so hopefully we will get back to a normal schedule before I go back to work in a few weeks.  Hudson has not been sleeping great at night, we have been so busy with the holidays, that I have not been able to be consistent with getting him on a schedule.  This momma needs to catch up on sleep, so goal for the next few weeks is getting on a schedule for sure!!!
